Here's something different for a change πŸ™‚ Recently, I've been trying my hand at Asian cuisine, especially Japanese dishes and snacks. I guess, some of them exist in other Asian countries as well, though under different names. After many hours of recipe research and a few trial runs with family and friends, two weeks ago, after spending more than two days in the kitchen (πŸ™ˆ) I served a 3-course Japanese menu to dear friends of mine. For starters we had Edamame ζžθ±† and Veggie Gyōza ι‡Žθœι€ƒε, for main course I served Yakiudon 焼きうどん with homemade Udon noodles and for dessert I made Fruit Daifuku フルーツ倧福 with strawberry and kiwifruit as well as Goma Dango ごま団子. I'm still very proud of the Daifuku because both fillings, Anko 逑子 and Shiroan 白逑 (red and white sweet bean paste), were homemade πŸ€— For a novice like me, I think, the Daifuku looked very nice, the texture is really interesting and the taste... hmm πŸ˜‹ especially the ones with strawberry! No, no, I'm not going to use the u-word πŸ˜… fun fact btw: 倧福 (Daifuku) literally means "great fortune" πŸ€πŸž The Goma Dango were filled with Anko only. After deep-frying, they were surprisingly fluffy and also very tasty. γ™γ”γγŠγ„γ—γ‹γ£γŸοΌπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Swiss impressions part 3 - and then there was snow and most of the mountain roads closed until further notice πŸ™ˆπŸŒ¨οΈβ„οΈ Plan As turned into Bs and Cs. I searched for nice mountain lakes and found one near Lauterbrunnen. Then I made myself a cool day hiking route which turned out to be great until it lead me to the snow line where snow had already started melting again. The ground was muddy and slippery which resulted in a minor finger injury and a calf-high step into a mud pool. Yeay πŸŽ‰ thanks to my hiking sticks and my well-performing sense of balance I made it back to Lauterbrunnen in one piece πŸ˜… and the pictures I took were quite consoling 😁

Swiss impressions - part 2. One day I went to Grindelwald to see the Bachalpsee. It was very windy, though, so I didn't get the shot I wanted. Instead, I took these 😁

Swiss impressions - part I. I've been spending the last few days hiking and chilling in Switzerland. Shortly before winter decided to make a first snow-white appearance, I took the mountain road to Melchsee-Frutt and went for some easy walks to Blausee, Melchsee and around Tannensee.

In 2009, I spent two months in London, improving my English skills. We often met in the evenings for pub crawls, karaoke, clubbing, cooking or... for watching football. One of the first things I learned was my teacher being a Liverpool supporter. So the morning after match day he would tell us about the match, and then I started praying for Liverpool to win so that he would always be in a good mood the day after 😁 I first-time visited Liverpool at the beginning of March for a Beatles tour. But it was not until March 14th, 2009 that I watched my first Premier League match in South East London. Liverpool vs. Manchester United... yeah, well... a new Liverpool supporter was born that afternoon 😊 two years later, I spent two weeks in Liverpool with a lovely family and went to see my first match and win at Anfield. I fell in love with this city... Whenever I'm in England, I try to visit Liverpool for a couple of days even if it's just to take a stroll along the Mersey river 😍 My last visit was in 2018. Two years later, even though I'm not that interested in football anymore, I'm very happy for Liverpool FC to lift the Premier League trophy tonight after a 30 years wait πŸ€—πŸŽ‰πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

Meet Lari & Bella. We had some serious fun the other day. Compliant with Corona distancing rules I shot with a pretty heavy 70-200mm lens πŸ˜… that was not the reason why I borrowed this lens, though πŸ˜‰ this almost magazine-like picture is one of many pretty cool ones and I will show you some more in the near future. @ducati @ducatideutschland

A couple of weeks ago I did a photo shooting with a couple athletes from @vfbleichtathletik for a printed catalogue of their new team collection. Another first-timer 😁 but I've been connected to this club since I was born and for almost 20 years I've been voluntarily maintaining the VfB athletics website. So it was a matter of the heart to assist them in creating that catalogue πŸ’– I followed today's news in Stuttgart with a sad and a happy eye. Happy because my hometown club pretty much secured its promotion to the first Bundesliga. But I'm also very shocked and sad for what happened tonight in the city centre πŸ’”πŸ˜₯

At the end of our last photo shoot back in August, we went to two underground stations in Stuttgart. At 4pm it's not as calm there as it may appear. We needed some time to get a few shots between trains and (confused) passengers running through 😁 and it looks so effortless but I can tell, the bench split was not that comfortable. As for the other, though it's a simple one, I really like the red-bench-red-book theme. Now I'm looking forward to tomorrow's shooting with both sisters this time πŸ€—
